Common questions
How do I add someone? +
Tap the + in the top right of the main list. Kith opens your contacts and lets you pick a person. It reads their name and photo from your contacts — it doesn't copy that data into its own database.
How do I change a cadence? +
Tap a person's name in the list to open their detail view. Tap the cadence (e.g. "Monthly") to change it. You can choose from four presets or enter a custom number of days.
I checked in but the list didn't update. +
The check-in is recorded immediately. The list sorts by drift — how far past the cadence someone is — so after checking in, the person moves toward the bottom of the list. If it looks unchanged, you may be looking at the same relative order by coincidence.
I didn't get a notification when I expected one. +
iOS can delay local notifications, especially in Low Power Mode or when the system is under load. Check that Kith has notification permission (Settings → Kith → Notifications → Allow) and that Do Not Disturb isn't suppressing them. There's no server involved — the reminder is scheduled entirely on your device.
How do I export my data? +
Settings → Export data. This saves a JSON file containing all your contacts, cadences, and check-in history. You can open it in Files, share it, or import it into another app that reads JSON.
How do I delete everything? +
Settings → Delete all data. Two taps, confirmed. This removes all contacts, cadences, check-ins, and notes from Kith. It does not affect your iOS Contacts app. Alternatively, uninstalling Kith removes all its data from your device.
How do I cancel my Kith+ subscription? +
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Kith and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep Kith+ access until the end of the billing period.
Will Kith ever sync across devices? +
Not in the current version. If sync is added in the future, it will be opt-in and end-to-end encrypted — meaning even we wouldn't be able to read your data. There's no timeline for this.
